J.R. Staley was given a Minolta SLR at the age of 10 and hasn’t stopped taking photographs since then. It has been nearly 2 decades since that day and still J.R. captures the moments, places and people that make life worth living. J.R. has a deep love for historical places, good food and even better friends. Through the lens of a camera, J.R. seeks to capture and share those special moments. Though J.R. now uses a digital camera rather than a film SLR, the magic of photography has never lost it’s appeal.
Currently J.R. is working as an English teacher in South Korea. J.R. taught in the US for a short period of time before moving to the other side of the world seeking adventure, career opportunities…and of course new things to photograph.
